You're right, the scan is really beautiful and I like the idea of your wallpaper. The blue in blue looks good with the unicorn lightning the way. But I don't like the black triangle in the lower left corner and that the character is askew. It looks like you span the image just a bit around on a black background...

I'd agree too that the scan should be a bit bigger. The rest looks really cool. The background is amazing, the texture, the color..... Just as said the scan is a bit too small....
